29/10

Just got back from fight team training at Hilltop. I know Hilltop is now open to the entire SMU Muay Thai club, but the "recreational" people... From over 40 people squeezing at the T-junction, I think there are less than 10 now. And the girls who came to look at the hot guys are gone too. They probably thought it wasn't worth torturing themselves just to see the guys. Haha!
Today's training was good, though Terence only started coaching us at 8:45pm, instead of 8pm. We skipped for 20 minutes outside. I realise I am quite good at skipping, even with our special muay thai ropes. Heavy and rigid. Cross and doubles, backwards. HAHA! I think Fabian was like WTF, why I so zai, can do crosses consecutively and backwards too! :D Skipping is so fun. My calves have whip marks on them. And I don't know who it was who said I must have some fetish which I engage in with my bf. Oh right. Haha. Crazy people.
4 X 4 minutes shadow
Today, the turn up was really good. Most of the fight team was down. Which meant we had to do many rounds of bag work. We used the 5kg medicine ball today too. It is f-ing heavy la. 3 minutes overhead squat with 5kg medicine ball, 3 minutes Russian twists. I think all the girls died. And I thought bag work was tough. Bag work was like rest compared to this la. And I can't grip the medicine ball, kept slipping off. Think it's my handwraps.
We did clinching again today. Think I'm getting better at it!
3 X 20 right roundhouse
3 X 20 left roundhouse
I ended up doing more cos I somehow just can't kick bags. Terence said it's weird cos when I kick him, it seems perfectly fine. Personally, I think it's the fear I have of bruising my shins even more. It hurts like fuck. Not only that... because I don't wrap my feet right around the bag, I end up scraping my feet against the bag, so my skin is torn off again. The burn is bad. Next time I have to tape my blood blister and my feet a little, or wear ankle guard already.
The best part of training today was the kneeing. Terence brought us outside the gym so we could do sprints, followed by knees. The guys did it while the girls were doing bag work. When we got out of the gym, we were wondering why they all looked half dead. I didn't think it would be so tiring but I was wrong. It's the most tiring thing I have ever done during any training. My heart beat so fast after...
It's about a 150-180m sprint back and forth I think. Then 30 right knees, 30 left knees. 3 sets. I know you must be thinking, how tiring can kneeing be. But, apply force and you will see. It feels like plyometrics la. Gotta have that burst. I heard Vanny say "Omg, look at Mad." Almost went crazy. The more breathless I was, the faster I went. Haha. Just wanna get it over and done with man. Torture. I can't even make any sounds to tighten my core, just too breathless... But it was good training. So kick ass!
Ended training with 100 sit ups and push ups. I was wondering why I was so slow. Then I realised, it's because no one is doing it properly! I do push up till wanna die, every 2 I have to break. Ok never mind, slow is fine, so long as you're doing it right.

Supper, which was just Milo for me, nearby Hilltop. Wa I can't believe they can eat bak chor mee and rice so late at night. Haha. I am starving now though.

Food journal 29/10
Breakfast:
Muesli, weetbix, oatmilk

Lunch:
Tofu omelette with 1 slice bread
Meiji coffee milk
Anyway, Bonjour has this 12 grain bread which is really nice! I like it :D

Dinner:

We went to Golden Mile to eat Thai food again! We're all slowly becoming more Thai, thanks to Jinsiong. Jinsiong's gan ma owns a small food stall. The food is really authentic Thai. Jinsiong ordered for us the specialities.
Thai iced milk tea. Super sweet ah!!! Didn't really want an entire glass to myself. But ok la. Give face. Haha.
Basil leaves?
Roasted pork and chicken. The pork is really lean. And the chilli sauce that accompanied was really good.
We had papaya salad too. Jinsiong asked them to cut down the spicyness cos the rest can't really take too much chilli. Not spicy at all to me leh. But Cindy couldn't take it already!
We had sticky steamed rice. I shared with Tingyan a.k.a Ting Ting (so gay) one packet. So cool, the rice comes in plastic! Jinsiong taught us the traditional Thai way of eating. So we used our hands for the entire meal! Really good the food was! I really don't mind going back there again. The roast pork was surprisingly lean too! I think the pork was the best man! This coming from someone who doesn't really like pork. So now, there's this roast pork and Porkfessor X which has won me over (:

Supper:
Milo
We asked for less sugar... Yeah, I don't think that's less sugar. So freaking sweet. Next time I shall ask for no sugar at all!!!!

It's been a good day! I have a meeting at 9am. It's already 2:20am! Hair is still a little damp.
Maybe I shall go gym after meeting. Maybe. But I think I will be too tired in the morning. I still feel the lactic acid from the kneeing!
Can't wait for Steph to upload the video of my roundhouses! Wanna see what I can improve on! Anyway, Steph is my idol! She owns me so bad. Haha. Getting punched in the face is not for everyone. My mouth bled on Wednesday, long story. Anyway, it's still painful when I brush my teeth!!!!

Alrighty! Goodnight!

24/10

23/10

We had CT filming at LKCSB. CR 2-1 is soooooo huge?! I never knew it existed. Anyway, Mark offered to film it for us. What a nice cousin I have! :D He's using Canon 7D. Which is an awesome camera. We only managed to film about 2 out of 4 scenes. And it took us from 4-7pm. OH GOSH. The price of "perfection".
I directed one of the scenes. Think it turned out really nicely! And thanks to Mark and his camera, I think our video's gonna be a killa! HEHE! It looks so professional. 18 megapixels with full HD recording. How kick ass is that?! :D
Anyway, we've gotta continue filming this Tuesday night! Which means I won't be having dinner at home this entire week ): I hope Thursday I can escape just to be home for a bit. SIGH!
Anyway, after filming, I met up with Cindy cos "shi fu" from Golden Mile called to inform us that our gloves have arrived!!!! :D Was so excited. When we reached the shop, he told us that only 2 10oz tri-coloured King gloves arrived, and he thought of us immediately and kept it aside just for us! (: So nice. Hehe. Look at my gorgeous gloves!

Red. My favourite colour. So hot! (:

We decided to have dinner at Golden Mile too! Returned to the same place the 2 of us and Hann Khee ate the other time. We ordered baby kailan with beef and chicken breast with cashew nuts and shared a bowl of rice. I ordered ice coffee too! Really good ice coffee they have!!! :D
Cindy and I have nothing but praise for the food. We made the right choices. Just perfect! The last time we ate there, I had the green papaya salad and a thai coconut. Was sweating and about to cry from the chilli padi. Freaking spicy. And it's ONLY 2 chilli padis on the scale. I saw one with 6. That one will surely numb your tongue.
I think I've been indulging a little too much lately. Appetite is huge! Next week gotta start cutting down on the indulgences.

24/10

Finally, a day I can wake up late and not go to school (:
I allowed myself 8 hours of sleep. And finally, my double eyelid is back! You have no idea how happy I am that it has returned to me!
I did my stats101 homework. Hmmm. It's due Friday 1pm. But I won't be going to school on Friday, cos no Project Sunshine meeting till December. So I gotta finish it by Thursday! I don't want it to be like the last assignment. All the way to school just to hand in my work. It's ridiculous! Unless I get Cindy to hand in for me la. Haha!
I am halfway done with it. But I am stuck already. Cos I couldn't attend that lesson on hypothesis testing and unfortunately, it's not exactly the same as JC work ): I will have to stay up tonight and study the slides! But I am feeling soooo tired and lethargic ): Just wanna sleep. Ok, maybe sleep at 1am! Tomorrow, my FTB group will be meeting for lunch at Koufu and then I will be having LTB meeting before training. No Cindy = lonely journey home tomorrow! ):

Food journal 24/10

Breakfast:
Muesli + weetbix + oatmilk
Yes, I have this EVERY MORNING

Lunch:

Steamed tofu, breaded prawns (soggy cos it was from last night's dinner apparently) and stir-fried cabbage with dhal and yellow powder. The cabbage dish is sooo good!

Snack:
One slice bread with tuna, as usual no mayo. Mayo is gross, or so I tell myself.
Some nuts

Dinner:

Soup. Tofu, egg, cabbage, kangkong, sweet potato, sweetpeas. Nice.
More prawns! Way too salty and fried!

Snack:
Chocolate milk with muesli. Half cup only!
I got hungry after workout la! I need to provide for my muscles leh. Lol!

Ah... Now I remember what Weijoe and Hann Khee said to me when I met them after training at Hilltop. They were waiting for me outside the gym, and Weijoe hadn't seen me in awhile. He said, "Mad, your shoulders and arms look so... rigid." Ok, I take that as a compliment. He asked me to flex and he said it's damn nice, better than Hann Khee's :P Solid. Really working on the arms each training! Am loving my arms la. I like :D
The last time Weijoe saw me, he said I look more and more like Xena, the warrior princess and that training is really showing on me. Hehe. I wish la! Can I see changes to my body? Mmm, maybe? I might be imagining things!

Today, felt guilty eating so much junk the past week. So I decided to go for a run, despite the ground being slightly wet. Well, at least the haze is gone for the time being! Haze mid-week was terrible. Town skyline looks so gloomy!
3km run
Walking lunges
50 bicycle crunches
60 leg lifts
OK DONE! More to be done tomorrow. Monday trainings by Kelvin are tough. I predict running through the school thrice, sprints and then suicides again. Tomorrow's training there's no Terence. Oh man, how I wish I had no LTB meetings on Mondays. I can go Hilltop more often that way. Will benefit me much more!
Anyhow, I decided to run for Muay Thai exco! We'll see how it goes. Never put VP as your first choice. Shows that you are an idiot who just wants the title and doesn't wanna do jack shit. Kelvin's an awesome President. I think he does so much more than he needs to. He's like President, VP (I don't even know who the current one is), training captain and more! Really exceptional guy I must say! Proud to have him as President of SMU Muay Thai! (:
Thomas wants to come see me fight in January. Oh gosh. Will be so embarrassing fighting in school! There'll be a crowd. I am so new at this. If I meet people like Mel who have more experience than me then I am... quite dead. But I won't give up. It's all in the mind. It's just physically exhausting in that 6 minutes. I've already experienced that "pain" and not being able to keep your guard up! I NEED TO WHIP MYSELF INTO KICK ASS SHAPE!

22/10

1) Project Sunshine meeting
2) LTB presenation prep
3) Training at Hilltop
4) Dessert at Liang Seah, Ah Chew

Good day! Training rocks, dessert rocks too! Hehe! No regrets with dessert. It's a once in awhile indulgence. We all need a cheat meal every now and then. Just that recently, I've been giving myself more. I blame totm. Really hungry!

This pretty much sums up my day. Ok, shall elaborate (maybe) some other time. I am way too hungry now. I shouldn't be eating at 0144 hours!

Ok! Back on the 24th of October.
Training at Hilltop. Another run to Esplanade and back with Jin, Paul and Cindy. Didn't feel as tiring as the first time. But my calves are perpetually sore. It's really torturous running for me. SIGH. IT REALLY HURTS. I am not exaggerating. Feels like those horrible cramps you get in the middle of the night ):
The girls started with bagwork. "Freestyle". 3 X 2 min rounds, 10 pushups in between. Then was our turn for padwork with Terence. I don't know why I always have to start first!!! Like that no break man... Worked a lot on roundhouses. And I have to say my roundhouses are not up to standard yet. Only on Wednesday's training it was somehow exceptionally good. I don't twist enough, so my kicks end up going up instead of across. I'll have to take the extra effort to twist more until it becomes second nature!
After my turn was up, I had to do another 3 X 2 min non-stop knees (up and out) at the corner of the ring. Between each set, 10, 10 + 5 then 10 +10 sit ups. The worst thing is my blood blister which broke is sorta... I don't know how to describe it. But the skin is pulling upwards and so it hurts. I'm not walking on my big toe anymore. Anyway, Terence saw my messing around with the plaster I earlier put on before getting into the ring. I took it off eventually, cos it started to not be of any use! Terence brought me some tape! I am so touched! (:
After feeling so extremely breathless from the knees, Terence made us work on our balance and push kicks with the bags. Cindy and I took the longer bags, since we're much shorter than Ivy and Mel. It was only after we finished that we realised how much heavier our bags are compared to theirs. No wonder the bags didn't move as much as theirs la. Haha! Make me think I was weak. NONSENSE! I am strong YO! HA! I went from don't know how to push kick to decent push kicks pretty fast. I think we did push kicks non-stop for 10 minutes. So tiring. Then Terence gave us individual padwork for push kicks. AHA! Now I know how to do it! It will come in really useful when sparring for sure! (:

Hann Khee and Weijoe came to pick me up from Hilltop. Weijoe drove us to Liang Seah Street, Ah Chew. Damn good dessert there. I wanna try everything on the menu!!!! :D
I dragged Cindy along. Nice to have her around la (: And she lives just a few blocks away from me! So perfect. No more lonely journey home after training! (:
Cindy and I shared guilinggao and mango sago with pomelo. YUM! So good. We had a hard time deciding what to order.
We arrived at like... 10:30pm? And the place is just packed. I like the ambience. Authentic Chinese. Haha! Wanna go back there sooooon! (((((:

21/10

I really don't understand how some people can be soooooo ignorant. Is he dumb or what?! WTF. JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! I feel so harassed! I don't ever want to see him again. Three times my whole life is enough!!!!

SIGH.

Got back everything except my TWC midterm essay results. I don't think my results are that good. CT is ok, it's fluff. So I have an A+ and an A-. Biz law I got 11/15. Is that an A? I hope so! Stats... CUI. 19/30. Someone kill me now! ):

Yesterday was a freaking busy day. Early start, which was boring cos it was stats. But Thomas' smses were amusing. Haha. Straight after that was meeting. Once again, there's only 3 people. Why is it so hard to arrive on time for a meeting? I think people should have the decency to inform others when they are going to be late. But what makes it worse is that they hardly contributed. What they did contribute didn't even end up in our final work cos it's just... mundane! I know I sound like a freaking bitch but this is way too much! I am sure they are aware of it. They should make a conscious effort to change their attitudes. Annoying!

Muay Thai. I still went for training despite feeling really crappy with TOTM plus drugged with my allergy medication. I thought I wouldn't be able to run, but I really surprised myself. Cos I think I ran really well. Fight team training rocks! Yesterday's training was the best one so far. We rotated and sparred with the seniors, even the guys. I think it was really good training and I learnt a lot from the guys! (: I now have neat little tricks up my sleeve. HEHE! :D
I felt proud that I could actually reach Tianfa's neck with my roundhouse! (: His tall! I'm not talking about a short guy. This guy is about 175cm!

Concourse run X 3
Sprints (should be 10 X T-junction slope, extra 3 X for fight team)
SPAR, first with all girls, then with 3 senior guys
Pad training with Terence, roundhouses
100 pushups
50 situps (I did more than 70, don't ask me why)
5 X 10 right roundhouses
5 X 10 left roundhouses

I 'love' getting hit. It's the adrenaline. Even when you get hit in the face and it's uncomfortable... Yes, I must be mad. Haha.
Hugen chatted with me just now on FB. And he said he heard that I am super violent and like to aim face. HAHAHA! Too bad la. It's true I like to aim face :P And violent is good. I will never be a pushover!
There's training again tomorrow at Hilltop! EXCITED! :D

Project Sunshine meeting tomorrow! Need to start working on the banner for our fundraising next week! (:

Equipped!

Bought some equipment from Liang Seng yesterday. Mouthguard, handwraps, Adidas shorts and something else! YES, I feel sportier already! (:

My beautiful blue Adidas handwraps! :D

Mouthguard. We don't want our teeth knocked out!

I went to school for meeting. In the end, the 2 most unlikely to attend the meeting, attended. Elwin hangover, I training till ungodly hours. WTF. And we can drag ourselves, they can't? :/

15/10

Training at Hilltop once again. I think it'll be at least once a week at Hilltop. Really good coaching by Terence. In school, we don't get the personal attention. Wish I could make it down to Hilltop more often!
Anyway, I need handwraps soon! Mel was supposed to pass mine to me today, but she didn't come for training and now my left wrist hurts.

Today's training started with a run. I'm really forcing myself to run nowadays. After every training, my calves are so so sore. When I run, it is torture! We ran from Hilltop to Esplanade and back. Think that's just 3.5km or something. Calves burning, plus slight stitch. Ran with Paul and Jin, so really had to push myself. Good thing about running with guys. Always got that extra motivation!
2 rounds shadow
Next was bag work. 5 rounds of 3 minutes non-stop bags. Between each sets, 10 pushups. It's not easy doing pushups with gloves on. And not good for wrist too!
Had one round (3 minutes) of pad training with Terence. Jab, cross and hooks. I really gave it my all. And I really felt like dying cos my arms were burning like mad, but I still punched with all the force I could. I love the sound of hitting the pads/bags. Makes me feel strong. HA!

We really had lots of pad training today. And I hardly got a break. Terence, Paul and Jin wore the protectors, and the girls took turns to work on our punches. I got Terence. So shag. He really no mercy. And he kept hitting me (really hit) to make sure that I protected my face. 3 minutes Terence, 3 minutes Jin. Then Terence again. I think I had 6 rounds non-stop. I was the only idiot doing it non-stop la. WTH. How tiring!

Terence then made us do "weights" with the huge ass bags. It's super heavy. And he made us "swing" it for 10 minutes. My arms are so so sore. They were trembling (cos I never slack lor!).

Mmm, what else.. CLINCHING! We learnt clinching on Wednesday. My neck is aching like ^%*#, for the first time in my life. Today, we did clinching again, with Terence. Even the girls. He said we are all super violent. He got elbowed in the eye and scratched till he was bleeding (Vanessa did this with her manicure). Anyway, he is so strong. At least compared to the girls la. And he really flung us around. I think I was flung to the ground at least 5 times in 3 minutes. Shit man. Really flew. But I think I am good at clinching (with girls my size). When I was clinching with Val on Wednesday, she was so so shocked that I had so much strength in me (for my size). The seniors say cos my grip is very strong. Haha! Thanks (: Clinching is so fun, minus your face is your partner's boobs and sharing sweat.

Training was slightly over 3 hours long today. It's really damn shag, especially when you're giving it all you've got with every hit.

Food journal 15/10
Breakfast:
Weetbix and muesli with oatmilk

Lunch:

I had lunch with Ben today, Ran into him at SOE before meeting Ron to discuss our Stats homework. At least I didn't waste time, go school for 15 minutes then travel another 50 minutes home!
We ate at Glassroom Cafe. I have to say this sandwich is awesome. I don't know what bread this is, but it's really good. Has a good texture to it. Nice seeds and herbs too (: It's the Porkfessor X sandwich! Lean pork and pickled vegetables (: Really really nice! I want to eat it again soon (:
Had a Nutty Banana to accompany my meal. Basically, it's hazelnut and banana shake (:

Pre-workout snack:
1 peanut butter and nutella sandwich

Dinner (not really dinner):
Guilinggao. HAHA! Dessert! I need more guilinggao for my complexion la! Especially TOTM, really breakout ):
Soya milk
1/2 cup Meiji coffee milk
The rest had kway teow or fried rice and almond jelly for "supper" after training. Supper made me reach home at 12:30am!
Did I mention I have to wake up at 7am for TWC meeting? ): Means less than 5 hours of sleep for me. My hair is still damp! ):
Shall nap in the afternoon!

Anyway, check out my new battle scars! (:

My elbow and arm is bruised. Nice.
My shin is bruised from Monday's training. Nice. You can't see it from the photo but it's swollen. So there's a nice little lump there.
My blood blister on my little toe broke. Pain like hell. And still have to do sprints barefooted! And high knees and all! Always on our toes, literally.
My favourite one of all is the bruise on my thigh. It was bigger the other day :/
Muay Thai is not for weaklings.
Hugen asked me why the hell would I want to join the fight team. He doesn't understand how girls can put themselves through this kind of physical exertion or "torture". Well, I like to train. I can't imagine a life without training. I like pushing myself. Lactic acid is indeed my best friend! I don't particularly enjoy getting injured, but it's part and parcel of Muay Thai. That's why not everyone can do it. But I can! YES I CAN! I want to be strong!!!!!!!! We're not typical girls. Yes, Muay Thai girls are hot!

11/10

Today's training was kick ass again.
We ran through the school as fast as we could, thrice. Felt so accomplished keeping up with guys :P
Did the usual high knees and shuffles with bursts. Think my FBTs are too loose already! Need to get some hot ass pocket Nikes! :D
We did like... I don't know how many sets of stairs today! F-ing tiring. Got that falling down sensation! BUT I AM NO QUITTER! Cos I want face also. Haha. And I lapped the girls thrice ok! Wa, damn proud of myself. I was suffering from lower abdominal pains even. Felt like dying.
I think I am getting better with my side splits! SOON SOON!
3 sets of shadowboxing, in between 20 sit ups, 20 pushups.
We then went into 3 sets of 3 minutes non-stop jabs. My left arm is soooo sore now.
Actually, it's more like 6 sets, cos the ones holding the pads are also doing a lot of work. In fact, sometimes it feels more tiring holding and pushing the pads. And SHIT. Never ever overextend your arms when punching. I felt like I dislocated my elbow a few times. Make me wail like... Argh. Painful.
Then Kelvin made us do 50 pushups with our sore left arms. Haha! I did 20 standard then I dropped to doing the girl ones. Really, cannot make it.
We had 4 rounds of sparring, each about 3 minutes long. Sparred with Cindy, Kriff, Vanny and Mel. Oh fuck, Kriff is damn powerful. I mean she has the advantage of mass and size over me. And she just kicked my left thigh with her roundhouse and now I have bruise 4-5cm in radius. And I feel it with each step I take. Mel also kicked me in the same spot. So... it's really bad. Got jabbed in the face a few times. My nose felt like it was gonna bleed. And punched in the eye. Luckily no shiner. If not I will look so fantastic :/ LOL.
Last set was defender and attacker. Defender just stands in one spot and gets hit by the attacker. Try to block, but kicks are still a little difficult to avoid. This was when I got the most fantastic injury which made me shout "Fuck" damn loudly at Big Steps. Cindy kicked me and I defended successfully, meaning she hit my shin. My shin is swollen now, this freaking big bulging bruise. The newest of my battle scars. Shall be proud of it! I am gonna wear a mini skirt to school tomorrow, I don't care! :D

Am so shag now. Training again on Wednesday. Will be looking forward to it!
I just saw my TWC mid terms MCQ results. How lousy can! 20/30 ))))))): I hope my essay is slightly better!

We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love.

Ok, it's 0130 now. It's not right to be awake at such hours! ))))): SULK. Time to sleep. Almost done with my TWC essay. Another 300-400 words probably, then the final touches. It's gonna get busy. I can't wait for Friday. Will probably only get some decent time off work on Friday. There's muay thai later at 7pm. Before that it's LTB meeting. Shit. Packed. I have to get the emailers out by Friday too for Project Sunshine. Gotta start on the design on Tuesday. I can discuss with JS in Biz law? Haha!
LTB execution on Wednesday, means no Stats, make up lesson on Thursday afternoon right after LTB and LTB meeting. Thursday is LTB presentation too! SEEEEEE! So many things to do lor. Wednesday after execution I have to run back to school for TWC, submit my essay, then at 7pm training again. Fierce! HELL WEEK. DISLIKE.

Anyway, 10.10.10. I spent with 4P2 (: Love my class. Awesome people (:

9/10

I had a great time today (:
Sentosa. So hot! :D
So nice, just to lay in the sun. Good company. Mmm, yup yup (:

I WILL PLAY GUITAR HERO IN A MONTH'S TIME OK?! Haha.

It's CT meeting in the morning, followed by lunch with P2 at IMM! I hope the meeting doesn't drag. Why do I have a feeling the attendance will be terrible? I miss P2! By far the best class ever I've been in!

Alrighty, I think it's time for bed! So damn shag. Waking up at 7am! Oh man, bummer! On a Sunday?! That's not right ):
I really need to finish up my TWC. Next week will be hell with LTB execution and presentation!

Goodnight (:

You make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream
The way you turn me on, I can't sleep
Let's run away and dont ever look back, don't ever look back
My heart stops when you look at me
Just one touch, now baby I believe this is real
So take a chance and don't ever look back

6/10

Training was so tough... Fight Team is not for the faint hearted. There's such a big difference between fight team training and normal training... Ahhhhhh. My shins are even more bruised and now my arms are too. The freaking pads are damn heavy. It's tougher holding pads then hitting them! Oh gosh, so sore. Don't know how am I going to train this Friday man...

Training 6/10:
I think it was like... 6 sets of 15m jog then 75m sprints
5 sets suicides. 5 points, each about 10m apart? This really killed me. Think the rest of the girls were dying. Wa.. crap man. Suicides. Painfully good.
Then the usual run, playing Simon Says with Kelvin. Lol. Up: Tuck jumps, Down: touch floor. And he loves to go "UP! UP! UP! UP!" or "DOWN. DOWN. DOWN. UP. UP. UP. UP!"
Shuffle, burst. Shuffle, burst! High knees, burst! High knees, BURST! LOL. This is damn sick. I hate high knees! And my pants always ride up. Need to pull them down. Disruptive!
2 minutes shadow boxing, 20 push ups
2 minutes shadow, 20 sit ups
2 minutes shadow, 20 jump squats
Now comes my favourite part...

"Traffic light"
When GREEN, listen to your partner's command. Jab, cross, right roundhouse, left roundhouse. Sadly, I can't do my right kicks because of my badly bruised right shin and my wounds on my feet. It's really freaking painful. And wearing the shin guards did not help ): So it was just left roundhouse for me ):
When RED. Rest. For like... A few seconds.
Then again and again. 3 sets.
And when we all thought it was over, no... Before water break:
50 sets of jabs and crosses
50 sets of hooks
50 sets of uppercuts (I am particularly good at this! WOO)
20 sets of roundhouse kicks (Again, only left for me)
20 sets of knees

I think we sparred for 20 minutes today. I think I am more inclined to kicking. It's pretty hard to get jabs and crosses in. Hmmm... Sparring makes me make weird sounds.. Sounds wrong. HAHA!
Anyway, I think today's training was really good. Worked on all the basics. I think I know what my mistakes are already! Good! I need to get my equipment this Friday. I can't wait for the school order ): It'll take too long. Golden Mile, here I come!

I've never felt so tired from any training in my life... I am gonna KO totally later.
GOODNIGHT!

5/10

My wounds are scabbing over nicely. But they still really hurt in the shower! Or when I stretch out my leg.

Hmmm, the one right smack in the middle of my right foot was actually the scar from a minor operation years back. So it's a wound on top of a scar. It hurts as badly as the skinned knee.
Was considering which session I should go for tomorrow. Think I will go for the 7pm one in school, since Terence will be coaching. Think he's better. I don't want to go Hilltop till Friday. I think my wounds need to heal before I can train with bags again ):

Food journal 5/10
Breakfast:
Muesli and weetbix, banana and oatmilk
So perfect!

Lunch:

Baked chicken and sauteed mushrooms in pepper and garlic. Good stuff.
1 glass soy milk

Dinner:

Really good soup today. I dumped in broccoli, mushrooms, snow peas, carrots, a prawn omelette inside. Sweet potato, tofu, cabbage. Nice.
You must be wondering what that brown mess is. That's lean pork and those horrible mushroom chicken balls again, which I swear has a lot of MSG inside or something. Freaking salty :/

Early dinner, will probably end up eating more later. Hope there are fruits in the fridge.

SIGH. Feeling utterly depressed ):
Why the fuck do I care so much anyway. It hurts ):

I know you get me, so I let my walls come down...

4/10

I finally went down to Hilltop today. It's just a short distance from school, walkable. About 4-5 stops by bus, or the nearest MRT station would be Clarke Quay. I met Cindy at LKCSB/SOB (not so good to call your school SOB) and took 190 to Clarke Quay. Ah... It was drizzling heavily. My slippers are pretty worn out at the sole already. New slippers soon! Hilltop is pretty small, but it suffices. As long as it's just the fight team there, I think there should be enough space for training.
We started with our warm up. 20 minutes non-stop skipping with that horrible skipping rope. It is super rigid. It's like a hose, vacuum inside, plus it's weighted. My arms were really burning. I've never skipped till my arms hurt that bad before. And my toes were being abused by the "hose". Fucking painful. I am not even kidding. So many times I wanted to stop lor. But I just cursed and continued. Why did they ask us to bring shoes then?! Haha.
Coach asked us for all our weights. And a lot of people have to lose weight. Apparently it's strategy. But I don't quite get it. If you get muscular, you will probably get heavier since muscle is denser than fat, right? How are the guys going to lose weight? And the girls? Luckily I don't have to lose any. Optimum already. The other girls have to lose 4-5kg in one month. I am glad I am not them now. I also realise that Ivy is the only tall girl. The rest of the girls in the fight team are about my height, in fact I am taller than some of them. Hmmm. Short girls are tough! :D So... According to my weight and height group, I have to work most on my low kicks, jabs and crosses.

Today's session went something like this:
20 mins skipping
20 mins shadow boxing
20 mins of practicing our punches (BASICS! so tough...)
Approx 50-60mins bag work (including left and right roundhouse kicks and knees)
We also had one-on-one training with Terence.
I really much rather train at Hilltop than at school. You get much more attention at Hilltop. There's just way too many people in school during training. Terence says we need to get our equipment quick. I am still waiting for mine!!!! Will be so excited to get my sparring gloves, wraps, shorts! Gotta look the part too :P
Spent about 3 hours at training. Am damn shag now! Think I will sleep early tonight, for once. I should! I am bruised at the shins from kicking the bags, skin is coming off on my knees (straightening my leg is f-ing painful) and my feet has cuts, which are bleeding from too much feet contact with the bags (which is WRONG! I need to walk on hitting the bags with more of my shin).
Showering's a BITCH!

Food journal 4/10:
Breakfast:

Lunch:

Post-workout:
1 tuna sandwich

Dinner:

Soup
Orange milkshake (sounds odd, but tastes good!)

Was giving the girls some diet advice. Terence already asked us not to eat anything white. Which means, I am fine. But for others, I think cutting out their white rice and white bread is going to be tough. I remember struggling the first few weeks when I decided to cut out rice and noodles from my diet. Oh, but he also said, don't cut carbs, just eat good carbs. I guess it's ok. I still have my good carbs everyday. Feeling carb-deprived really sucks, I know!

1/10

Wow! It's October already. 7 weeks have gone by since the semester started. Amazing how much I have crammed into my brain since then too. It's tiring to stay up late and study. But I don't have much of a choice. I can't really study in the day. Maybe it's too hot! Anyway, I am glad that all my papers are done by this week. Means I don't have to "mug" next week, and can just focus on my LTB project, some assignments and Muay Thai as well! (:
Great news! Today, I called up another E-waste company, and the guy agreed to give us the information package we require for our presentation! :D And the guy was very nice and friendly, with a good sense of humour too! He is our saviour (: I thanked him profusely. LOL! So happy. I was literally jumping up and down after I put down the phone. This is going to be a success!!!
We had LTB meeting yesterday, and it was our first reflection session. I really like these sessions. You can really convey your thoughts of the whole thing to the team. And I was really touched by all the honesty and warmth. I really love Nasi Lemak! :D But HE makes me feel weird. My expression was one of utter shock when he said that. HAHA. I am not used to that kind of honesty. LOL.

I got to wake up late today. Like finally. Then I realised I have DOMS again! HA! Muay Thai is really such a good workout. I have a cut on my face from being jabbed at. I really love how during Muay Thai trainings, they don't discriminate between the guys and the girls. We do the same things the guys do. As many sprints, as many push ups, as many jump squats. You name it, we do it too! The guys also have to do splits! HAHA. I can't do side splits. The difference in standard between my side and front splits is damn big. But I am guessing we will only get better at it. I look at the senior guys and... Wow. Amazing stuff. I am also so so impressed by Kelvin's roundhouse kick. He literally threw the guy off balance. And I am sure that wasn't his 100% either.
Oh, and did I mention I can do commando push ups?! HAHAHA. OMG. This is damn funny. I never knew, because I never dared to try it. But after our sparring on Wednesday, Kelvin got us to do all sorts of body weight stuff. I don't remember the last time I heard a group of girls curse and swear and drop F-bombs. So cool. Loving Muay Thai more and more. Anyway, just did 5. After that I was dead. Lucky I didn't fall flat on my face! But still, I am proud of myself :P
I remember we had to stay down for... I don't know... a minute, in our push up positions. And someone said something hilarious to the girl beside me. She said, "Use your boobs." LOL. I laughed till my stomach ached.
Worked out today, cos I decided to study TWC instead of going down to Hilltop to train. Hoping to go 3 times next week!
Just a fast 2.4 today, 50 squats, 30 pushups, 40 bicycle crunches. THAT'S IT! Time to study.

Food journal 1/10
Breakfast:
Weetbix + muesli with fresh milk

Lunch:
Egg and toast

Snack:
Peanut butter and nutella sandwich
I wanna get almond butter soon! (:

Dinner:

Chinese cabbage, tofu, braised peanuts, tofu omelette, sweet potatoes and those horrid chicken and mushroom balls (which taste good, but probably isn't). Love soup for dinner! I feel like I can have it every day!
Miserable portion of steamed seabass. Had to leave the rest for mummy. SADS.

Snack:

2 lovely golden kiwis (:
1 cup red tea.
I need to buy more green tea powder! I'm out ):

Tomorrow's the final paper. TWC! Prof said no need to memorise anything. So..... What is tested?! HA. He wants maturity of thought. And my GP teacher used to compliment me about my maturity of thought in my essays. Thanks. I hope I still have it.
I got back my LTB quiz already by the way. BLOODY HELL. 65% only?!??!??!?!? And my reflection only got B. But B is the highest already :/ So strict. Ok never mind! Shall strive for better results! I can do it :D
