28/12
Project Sunshine had its first local CSP with Fei Yue, our beneficiary. I was assigned to house 1, warned that there were stray cats that the old lady took in. She really loves cats. She's somewhat of a hoarder, and didn't really want us to throw anything away, no matter how redundant those items seemed to us. There was a 2006 calendar that she refused to give up because there were pictures of cats. So the before and after shots of the house weren't THAT drastic. The house still looked rather cluttered.
Having fallen sick the day before, probably made worse by training, I wasn't so up to cleaning houses. Fortunately, as marketing head, I had to move about the 3 flats taking photos of the process and taking before and after shots of each place. Slack... Phew!
We returned to school for the debrief, dinner and some HTHT. The HTHT was freaking emotional. I was really stunned when I heard a couple of stories. Looks like my life's not the only one with so much family drama. I didn't say much about myself. I found it inappropriate to divulge too much, since I hardly know half of the people there. There are about 7 of my FTB mates in Project Sunshine, and I consider them my friends. But there were people I didn't even know the names of... I was so not keen on sharing "something which impacted you". I just said that I grew up in a single parent family, no father yet never feeling like I was missing something in my life because my mum's a wonderful woman who has raised my brother and I up to be very decent human beings.
After the whole HTHT thing, I received a call from my mum. It was very upsetting. Ahhhhh... Started crying and left the room. I think some saw me, my friend said I was a little flushed. Oh well... What can I do? I feel so torn because I don't want to take sides. All I know is that I love both of them, because they are family, and I don't want my relationship with either to be strained because of one stupid company! I will never make this mistake...
I had to decided to go home and not stay over in school with the rest of the Project Sunshine people. Anyway, next day there was Muay Thai camp which I had to attend.
29/12 - 30/12
Muay Thai camp! It started at 10am with training, but I got there later because I just can't train. I just nua-ed at the side with Tingyan while he took photos of everyone training. He's a good photographer... And his awesome camera sure helps!
Since training is just beside the school clinic, I decided to pop in for a "free" consultation. I really don't like the doctor :/ Got some medication for fever, flu and sore throat. The medication really made me drowsy!
After training, we headed to The Cathay for a Japanese lunch. This was our "sponsored" meal by SMU Muay Thai. Ordered lots of good stuff. Yummy. I grabbed the salmon sashimi and salmon sashimi + mango salad for myself. Some seasoned jellyfish too! Was a good meal, but everyone was so full, and we didn't manage to finish everything! Haha.
We intended to watch a movie at 5pm but returned to school since it was only 3 plus. Planned to play "block catching" at LKCSB. Haha! Failed. Everyone was just so tired from training, or too full to play. So we ended up playing Guess Who, the game that Cindy and I prepared for the camp. It's a damn fun game! :D After everyone had their turn, we all laid down for a bit. I fell asleep because I was really very drowsy from the meds. Then someone started watching a Thai comedy beside me, but I refused to move, so everyone was surrounding me watching the show while I was asleep. I didn't even care. Was KO-ed!
Off to Holland V hawker centre for dinner then a walk to Kelvin's house. Ok, I thought his house was huge. It's an old semi-detached kinda place. Just that it has 5 toilet, 3 with showers. We watched "REC", some Spanish "I Am Legend" kind of show. I think the directing is pretty good. Since it's taken in the view of a camera on someone's helmet as they hunt down some creepy girl for her blood. The ending is pretty predictable, but other than that, it's pretty good I think. I sat in the corner and they were asking me why I wasn't afraid to sit alone. Haha. Maybe if it were a ghost movie... But zombie flicks... Just so fake la. Slept in the living room with the rest of the team... Jin snores damn loudly la. Haha! I kept waking up.
At 7am, they went for a run... I went back to sleep. When they got back, Kelvin cooked up some horrendously unhealthy pancakes. I have never seen anyone put butter and maple syrup INTO the batter! I cooked myself some oatmeal. So much healthier. When I brought it to the table, some of them asked why I didn't make some for them too. I think they were quite freaked out by the pancakes. Lol. We played Guess Who again! This time I played too. I think I guessed mine pretty fast. I was Mona Lisa. When I asked whether I was fictional, they said maybe... I was thinking how mean could they be man. Haha. But once I asked whether I came from France, and they said I was in France, then I knew! :D Mona Lisa.
Got home in the afternoon and slept some more before going to Weijoe's place for his BBQ, I had to, although I was sick, because he had postponed it from the 28th to the 29th just because I had Muay Thai camp. He invited his closest friends only... I guess I should be honoured? Haha. I only knew Hann Khee, the rest were strangers. I got to know some new people... I am not a social butterfly. Anyone who knows me well enough should know that. But I had fun though. We had very interesting conversations with interesting people. Ahhh, I was damn suay la. Hann Khee and I wore the same colours and someone said "Couple dressing, how cute!". ZZZ. Please... Haha.
Mummy met Hann Khee and Weijoe cos they sent me off... Mummy says Hann Khee is not hunky. HAHAHA.
31/12
Really just wanted to nua at home the entire day. But I had to head to Bukit Timah Plaza's DBS to sign some stuff so that I can sign company papers from now on. Super tired sia... I took the bus back home, wanted to nap but the time was just not right... Sian. Medication still making me awfully drowsy. It's been 5 days and I am still sick. Not very, but still sick! Sick enough to disallow me my workouts. I've only had one training this week, which was on Monday. Argh. Feel so shitty and unphat lor, seriously...
I was really feeling very depressed this entire week with being sick and the whole company shit... Then came the fight thing. What is this?! A hat trick?! ARGH. Kelvin texted me saying that they can't find an opponent for me, no one in my weight category. The closest is Mel, but she has significantly more experience than me, plus she just got back from training in Thailand and Terence doesn't think it would be suitable to put us against each other. So what does this mean? Are you telling me I can't fight next week? ): Kelvin says it's such a pity since I trained so hard for it. You're damn right I trained so hard lor. This is seriously so f-ed up... I wanna fight. Now I am seriously considering fighting in August if they can't find me an opponent for this competition.
Baking some cookies now with Jeremy. I will probably bring some to school too. Give Hann Khee and Weijoe. They bought me some stuff from The Body Shop for Christmas. Do I stink or what? Haha. Oh wells...
School is about to start... I haven't found all my books yet. I hope this coming semester will be a better one! My whole holiday I've spent training... Ahhh depressing...
That said, I don't regret the training. It's made me much stronger. I've made wonderful friends and team mates. It's been great, really.
In fact, the whole of 2010... I don't remember being happier. There's really so much to be thankful for. I had such an experience working in Maersk, I climbed vertical ladders, ate a hell a lot of smoked salmon, made new friends and found the most wonderful guy! (: I don't resent the waking up at 4:30am.
I started school at SMU, a new start. I was glad to leave AC behind. I told myself I would enjoy school again, and I think I will. Well, more so this coming semester since I bid with my friends this time round.
I found new friends in SMU. Yup, I did. Anti-social Maddie. It's funny how my friends call me this and stuff like "no love", yet they're my friends huh... I'm not that bad. It just takes a while for me to open up and show my warmth and fuzziness.
I picked up Muay Thai. I can now officially kick ass!
Well... So many things have happened this year, both the good and the bad.
But I shall look back on 2010 with fond memories. Here's hoping for an even greater 2011 (:

23/12, Christmas and its eve (:
23/12
Had to wake up way too early for the Project Sunshine meeting. Was late for it! Then again, only half were in attendance, and half of that half were late anyway! Jinsiong asked me to wait for him at Dhoby Ghaut cos he didn't want to be late alone. Haha!
Had an awesome Subway lunch with Jin. Subway has shifted to the School of Information Systems! Looks like not much reason to visit SOE anymore then!

Ok, I didn't have this. Haha. I had a wrap. This was from Wednesday's lonely dinner at Central! I had a terriyaki chicken wrap instead. It's sad how the salad costs $7!
Walked around town for many many hours after! Haha. I am so fickle. And I wanted to get the best so... That meant lots of walking! From Dhoby Ghaut to Somerset, then to Orchard!
Got hungry. My snack:

Wild berries with plain yogurt. I like how this yogurt is totally not sweet!
Got home and started my baking! Aunty threw away my bend and bake! ): My reusable silicon cupcake holders ):
My first time using so little butter in a recipe. Hmm. Was afraid they might be a little too dry but... I thought they were ok! Did the coffee frosting the next morning!
24/12
Training once again. Reached Hilltop about 45 minutes later than I usually do. Lots of things I had to accomplish before leaving my place. Like packing baby's yummy (quite) chocolate muffins with coffee frosting.

They don't taste so good without the frosting ): But that usually happens when I try to make things healthier. The amount of butter for the entire batch of cupcakes was 1/3 of a stick of butter. That's very little!
Anyway, training was so-so. 5 people once again. I don't think anyone really had the mood to train on Christmas eve! Skipped, shadow boxed, bag work, personal training by Terence, more bag work... Then I left earlier for a fishy dinner! (: Mmm, fries.
"Oil and potatoes both grow underground so french fries may have eventually produced themselves, had they not been invented!" Hahaha.
After dinner, I was seriously debating whether I should go for midnight mass. I've always only gone for midnight mass. Was feeling so exhausted and sleepy!
This year is the first year I remember going for mass with Jeremy.
Father Terence really knows how to make people feel guilty. Haha. I feel bad sometimes when I go for mass.
The thing I like about St. Anthony's is that it is still rather traditional. We still sing hymns, and not stuff like Hillsong. I know Hillsong is nice and all... Used to love singing those songs at chapel back in AC. But they are just so... contemporary. I don't quite like the modern bullshit. Sometimes I feel that the meaning is lost. Maybe that's why I stopped going... Not because I don't believe. I am sure I do more so than some of those who go for Sunday mass every week.
Well, I had fun at mass. It's nice. It used to be so torturous when I was younger.
Walked home from church.. Reached home past 2am. Slept really late!
25/12
Woke up too early! Haha. Oh man, I need more sleep. I don't want my pimples to start coming out again!
Had lunch at Amma's house with the rest of the family. Really awesome food. Roast beef (best!), roast chicken, 3 different kinds of potatoes (lemon thyme, dill and chives), romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes, a huge ass bowl of fruits (blueberries, cherries, mango, apple, guava, grapes, oranges). I ate so much...

Aunty Marion had to keep aside some of the fruits, especially the mangoes and cherries for Uncle Simon. Hehe. I am a monster for these fruits!!!! (:
Met my dear for a bit in the afternoon. So hemsem in the checkered shirt. Hehe (: Ahhh... So nice to spend some time with you (: Bouldering soon!!!!
Bought a white hoodie for Jeremy at Uniqlo. Pretty nice leh... And he loves it! He's hugged me thrice in two days. Haha (:
Pretty much had the same thing for dinner. The beef was just so good!!! Lean and tender. Mmm.. I could eat it for days.

It's amazing how as kids, presents were such a big deal. As the years go by, I just really wanna spend the day with people I love love love! And this Christmas, I did exactly that! (: Sweet (: The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree - the presence of a loved ones all wrapped up in each other.
There's really nothing more I can ask for.
Christmas in Bethlehem. The ancient dream: a cold, clear night made brilliant by a glorious star, the smell of incense, shepherds and wise men falling to their knees in adoration of the sweet baby, the incarnation of perfect love.

21/12
Went out with Andrea today! Party World KTV at City Vibe, Clementi. I think I prefer Party World to KBox. Musical instruments and better song choices. I think I am damn awesome at singing Daughtry songs! And James Morrison! :D
Passed Andrea the chocolate oatmeal chewies and muffins I bake for her belated birthday!

I think I put in too much milk so the mix was quite watery. The perils of cooking up some random recipe. Haha. Added flour along the way, when I realised how soft the cookies were after the first batch came out of the oven. When I tasted it, it just reminded me of brownies, so I decided to turn them into muffins after the second batch of cookies!
Mummy picked me up at Clementi, and we made our way to the Fullerton's Town Restaurant. It was a freaking buffet! ARGH. Ok la. I ate quite cleanly, salmon, baked vegetables, turkey, fruits... Then came dessert, and ruined like everything! ARGH. What the hell. I can't resist dessert. Never ever put such things before me! Hahaha! But shiok. Never mind. I lead quite an active lifestyle, I will be fine. I don't eat like this all the time anyway. Now I feel horribly full and my stomach is uncomfortable! Too much rich food, considering I drink soup on most days for dinner. SEEEEEE! Buffets suck!

And this is my lunch from MOS Burger. Argh.

No bread though! Beef. Wrapped in lettuce. Next time I will ask for no sauce. Hate sauce!
Really feel like I should've worked out today ): And I wanna have a good tyre flipping time soon too. Haha. Tomorrow, ok, more like later... It's back to Muay Thai. Jin and I were just chatting just now and he says he recently lost the mood to train. Same sentiments. I think it's a good thing I'm gonna quit fight team soon anyway. Probably for the best. Competition soon though! Just a few more trainings and it's time! Let there be ass kickin'!
Had a hard time picking out what to wear today. Mummy asked me to wear a dress. She actually asked me to wear a particular one, but I'd already traded it. Haha. After trying on 5 dresses, including 2 maxi dresses, I decided on AE's Stacy in jade. Yes! Good choice. Nice dress!

I like the twist bust, something different. Quite surprised that the colour "jade" kinda suits me too.
My only problem with this dress is that if I don't wear a belt, it is loose! Or maybe because I have a small waist. The dress doesn't really flatter figures. Maybe only the bust thanks to the twist. It threatens to make me look ass-less too. That's why I threw on that waist belt!
Clothing and design... One of my passions in life. I'm gonna design my own clothes I swear!

20/12
Decided to miss Muay Thai today after all. Anyway, it wouldn't be too pleasant kicking bags/pads/people with my wounded right shin. But of course, I did my own workout. Run + sprints. Felt really energetic today. Ran like mad! :D
Tomorrow will be meeting Andrea for some karaoke fun, then it's dinner at the Fullerton's Town Restaurant with the staff from Talos and RUPL. I really hate to call myself MD/future MD. Sometimes, it just feels so undeserving.
My mum's email was really funny:
Mum: Kuti,
Please be informed and also inform your good brother that the both of you have to attend a dinner on 22-Dec at 6.30pm at the Town Restaurant in Fullerton hotel. Please ensure that the both of you are here in my office by 5.30pm. You will meet all of the TALOS and RUPL staff. Before CNY, we will have to do something similar at IN2LIVING and IN2AUTOMATION. Do not show up in shorts and slippers. The hotel is very ATTAS (that is Malay for UP, HIGHER, UPSTAIRS).
Me: HUH! OK! I will dress atas too. But I am going for training first. Leave my not so atas bag in your car can?!
Mum: Are you going to smell? What time are you done with training? Why cannot take off for one day, meh?
Me: I am taking today off because I have sore throat and I thought I should let my wounds heal for a bit! I WILL NOT SMELL. I can shower before going to Fullerton. Can I meet u at Fullerton instead? I will be at Clarke Quay anyway, quite near right?
Why must you put comma before the “meh”? Unnatural ah lian..
Mum: Don’t you add a comma before lah? Siao char boar? What are you going to wear? Please put on some make up too, we don’t want to scare the employees. Make sure you come with an appetite, the food is so good at the Town Restaurant. Tell your brother, please.
Later, the date was changed to 21st December. Ha! My mum is so hilarious. Just love her to death la. So cute! Hahaha. "Siao char boar" :P
Today was my first attempt at self-cutting (my denim shorts).

Too bad, considering it's still too tight for me at the thighs. ARGH. I'm no skinny bitch. They really need to be more friendly to girls like me and manufacture shorts with larger thigh openings ok! ):

Bora Bora. Such a beauty. I have to go there someday! I just love these places. The sun, the sand, the sea.
I wanna live in those cute little huts too. I read some of the huts have a glass panel on the floor, and you can see fish swimming. OMG! I am just dying to go there! That's my ultimate wish now. Argh... I haven't been on a proper holiday for years! ):
Food journal 20/12
Breakfast:
Muesli + weetbix + oatmilk
Lunch:

Chicken breast + last slice of turkey breast in a wrap
1 pear
Dinner:

Soup for dinner + skimmed milk
Orange for a snack
Awfully shiok eating like this. I hope there's some good, clean food at the Fullerton tomorrow!
Hard work is the only way to go. Strive to be the best you can be and remember that when you try your best, you can't ask any more from yourself, and people can't ask any more from you.

19/12
I just realised the coming week is gonna be quite busy. Other than Tuesday, I don't have a "free day". Maybe I should take tomorrow off and skip training. Anyway, I should let my wounds heal a little. Then again, competition is rapidly approaching and I need all the training I can get! We'll see how it goes.
Today was a little work and then a visit to the showroom. Supposedly just a 30 minute trip to the showroom while mummy had a "short" meeting, but it ended up about 6 times longer than intended. Was stuck there with no food and out of options. Took a walk with Jeremy to the nearby SPC to get some food. The only thing they had that was remotely edible was the tuna and chicken puffs. We shared the 2 puffs. Didn't feel too splendid. Would've much rather reached my grandparents' house earlier to have dinner with the rest of the family. Sigh, my mum sometimes... I don't understand why she just can't let us go when we are not doing anything anyway!

My ride. After driving the Mazda 6, then driving the Mazda 3, I realise how much better the 6 is. Then again, the 3 has been around for a while now, and has been through 2-3 accidents. I feel like going on a road trip. Just drive to some nice spot with a scenery... Does that exist in Singapore? Hmmm.
I recently got this dress in black...

Thought it looked cute. The ribbon looks nice. Will probably not wear it as a dress though. It's tight. Fits Uk 4-8. Definitely nothing bigger than that. I plan to wear it as a top... because it's cute. I really like the tie front!
Anyway, the model is so skinny. It's not right. Blogshops need to hire models with a little more curves and less bones jutting out here and there. They are giving young girls the wrong image of beauty. I'm not fat, but I'm not skinny either. I have an ass, and I have thighs (double the size of that model or more!) for god's sake! Please tell me the dress looks better on me!

I look better yes? Adjusted the contrast and exposure on iPhoto so you can see the ribbon as best as possible. Heh, so cute :D
I'm so proud my thighs don't look like that. Like I can break them with one roundhouse to mid-thigh!

My lunch and dinner. No bread, no rice. My grandfather always asks me to eat a little rice. Today he said eat a little, or I will feel tired. I told him, when I eat rice, I feel tired. He just laughed. I don't think my family will ever understand... Least I know phatboy does. Haha!
WOO. My VS just arrived. I wanna go to the beach! Someone date me please!!!!!!!!

18/12
Another day, another workout. This is getting addictive. Days with no workout = shitty, lethargic feeling. Not good.
Made it to CF Hub, team of 3 WOD:
80 pull ups
80 tyre flips
80 wall ball sit ups
80 burpees
We toss the die and do the number of reps on the die till until the team completes 80 in total. And each member has to complete their set before the next one starts.
We started with the pull ups first. Ok, my first time with the bands. I didn't know they worked that way, but they're extremely handy and make the "pull ups" easy. I know what one of my 2011 resolution will be already. Haha.
The tyre flips were extremely painful, even though I got the lightest tyre. Don't really know how much they weigh... Obviously more than me. It's not that I couldn't flip the tyres, I just took a long time. But anyway, Shawn and Yun helped me. I felt exactly like I did when sparring during Muay Thai trainings... Sparring with bigger girls to be exact. So small and disadvantaged. Argh! I will conquer you!!!!! Plus, I kept rolling 6 on the tyre flips. And they were not easy to do with my right supporting leg, cos usually I would use my left, but my left is just so... injured.

My stupid injury from tripping while running up the escalator. Left thigh, escalator. Right thigh, tyre. I wish the left was as cool as the right!
Anyway, my legs are in bad bad bad condition and my mum keeps nagging at me. How she doesn't approve of me and Muay Thai blah blah blah. Well, it makes me happy so... Oh man, she just came home and told me she showed my MMS to Henrik and the rest at the NOV dinner :/
Got my tights from Adidas today. Should start wearing my Muay Thai shorts to training soon. If not I will be wasting my money! I've decided to quit the fight team after my fight on the 9th of January. After all, I was after the experience. I am very proud of myself. I'm one of the handful of the fight team who regularly make it to training, I do not take short cuts (shall not shortchange myself), I do not give up though disadvantaged (size and weight), I cry but I keep fighting. Yes, chilli padi indeed! I say, good job Maddie!
But why have I decided to stop competitive Muay Thai. Well... The next fight will be in August. So from January to August, I will have to commit to the minimum 3 trainings per week. It was possible the past few months because it's only the first semester and there's the entire December for me to just purely devote to Muay Thai. I do not deny that Muay Thai has taken up a lot of my time (and energy), leaving me with little for my studies. That explains my miserable 3.30 GPA. It's always painful to know you could've done better but I don't regret this whole Muay Thai experience. I've gotten to discover so much in me that I never knew existed and I understand my body so much better now. Plus, the physical rewards. I'm in better shape now than I've probably ever been.
I'll still attend trainings, maybe once or twice a week. And when it gets busy during the semester, I can just skip the trainings and do my own. Probably more CF Hub next year too, since it's close to school anyway, and doesn't take up 3-4 hours of my time. Oh how do people not workout? I would feel like dying!!!
Was looking back on my first few blog posts (so childish!)... I was always into keeping fit and in shape. The only difference is how I do it. First was the nutrition aspect. In JC, I started reading about stuff and decided to cut out rice and noodles. I was famous for YTF no rice/noodles and ji fan bu yao fan. But I guess I always have a craving for carbs. Yikes! I am especially a sucker for bread. Earlier this year when working, I went back for a short while to eating some rice/noodles that were packed from the rig, and I really felt awful! And I got so unfit and slightly "chubbier". Glad that's over. Well, am gonna slowly wean off the bread. I used to eat... maybe 6 slices a day? But a few months ago, I already gave myself a limit and cut it down to 3. Slowly, but surely... It can be done!
I also used to believe in long painful workouts. Now I believe in short, painful ones instead! (:
Mmm, sometimes I really wonder what my friends are thinking when I keep rambling about my food and workouts. If I'm boring you, I'm sorry but I just love it. I speak with passion!!!!!!
Gotta plan for the upcoming week. Other than the 3 days of training, I have a date with Andrea on Tuesday. If Thursday I don't have to work then I'd like to do some last minute Christmas shopping. I suck terribly at gift giving. But nah, it doesn't matter. I hope I am the gift instead (:
The short hour nap I took in the evening is keeping me up! It's already 12:45am. Gotta force myself to sleep soon. Getting so darn hungry. Just one of the reasons why I hate late nights!

It is astonishing how many men lack this power of 'holding on' until they reach the goal. They can make a sudden dash, but they lack grit. They are easily discouraged. They get on as long as everything goes smoothly, but when there is friction they lose heart. They depend on stronger personalities for their spirit and strength. They lack independence or originality. They only dare to do what others do. They do not step boldly from the crowd and act fearlessly.

15 & 16 Dec
15/12
Down to Hilltop for the second training of the week! Attendance is really getting from bad to worse. Might have to do with our President being on holiday. Ok, maybe some people have gone on holiday too, OCSP and all. Lucky. I haven't gone on a holiday in over a year. The last one was to Phuket, a last minute thing. Followed my mum when she got assigned there for work. I wanna go on a holiday!!! ARGH. I want a beach holiday to be exact. Dying for some sun. Looking paler now, soon I will look like Edward from Twilight or something, but without the glitter! :(
Anyway, some seniors came down to train with us. Made it look like there were more people. The gym is really quite small, and the equipment is limited too so... It sufficed. Of course, the fight team got the priority.
Warm up (skipping)
1 hour of simple combinations with low kicks
Clinching
Theory lesson (videos)
I have to say that the 1 hour was pretty painful (quite literally), but it passed really quickly and I feel like I've gotten so much better with my right kicks. Keeping it simple for the fight in January. Anyway, we're all novices. Reminds me of Fencing. Novice. Only Paul and Dilip are at the amateur level. I don't think I will want to fight if I progressed to an amateur after the competition. I really have no idea how I will do... I hope I don't get too beaten up. It will be detrimental to my ego. Haha!
I won't stop Muay Thai though. I wanna do it for minimum 2-3 years. It'll be hard to say goodbye to it. I really love it, despite the pain.
16/12
Finally a day off! Got to sleep in till 11am. Sure felt good. No need to go anywhere for training, or get dragged out of bed at 6:45am to work. Feels good. Soon school's gonna start again and I will have to mug much harder. Results are out later on in the day. I am scared. Shit. Haha. I think Stats will probably be my worst subject. But no shocker there. Just not enough effort put into it. I can't blame anyone but myself. I got A+ for CT class participation :P Shocker! Haha. Class part for stats also A+. I got highest in my class for TWC class part. 9/10. Woo. Hahaha. Wow. Gotta pat myself on the back :P Not bad, I thought I didn't have it in me. Guess it took awhile to adjust to SMU's class part nonsense. I might be the next class part whore. People will hate me!
Anyhow... Amma called me today. She asked me to go over to help her make murukku. It does take some effort. The piping it isn't easy, especially when there's little dough left. Amma taught me how to do it about 2 years back, and now I'm quite the pro at it :P Working the forearms while cooking too!

Good job Maddie (: See how I make murukkus in perfect circles?! HAHA.
My grandma's recipe is really good. I sincerely (no bias here) feel that this is the best murukku out there. Deep fried yet it doesn't feel oily. Crunchy. Mmm. So good! :D We have this once a year in my home. Amma says she's a little disappointed that her daughters never really help her now. But I can help! More than willing to (:
Sya and Peiyi came over to my grandma's first. They had a hand in piping out the murukkus too. Haha. Then they had one of Aunty Angel's heavenly cakes. She's the best baker around, I swear. Her cakes are to die for. My favourite? Hmm. Her mandarin orange cake. Ecstasy!
From Amma's house, we walked back over to my place. No one home, so we had the whole house to ourselves. Caught up, lots of "bitching". Haha. Nice. Sya is such a joker.
They raided my freezer. I have 3 pints of Haagan Dazs Green Tea ice cream and 1 pint Vanilla, 2 boxes of potong ice cream, 1 box of Magnum minis and... I don't know. Tang yuan? Yes, I have tang yuan. I feel like having that soon. I also have a weakness for tau sar piah. SHIT. Anyway, they ate the awesome ice cream. I resisted. It's amazing how I have all this junk at home, yet I don't eat them. A few years back, I would be having it every day! But no more!
Did a light workout in the evening. Back to some Insanity core cardio and balance. It's probably the lightest of the Insanity workouts. Of those I have. I still give a lot of credit to this workout though. Recently, there's been a lot of hype about it, along with P90X and their muscle confusion Muscle confusion accelerates the results process by constantly introducing new moves and routines so that your body never plateaus. That's what they say. Then they have all these testimonials and before and after shots. Haha! Here's one:

I remember watching some P90X videos on Youtube. Minimum equipment required. Just a pull up bar and some weights. Seems better than Insanity. Haha. But still, Insanity can really be Insane. Max interval training. Really working out in a pool of my own sweat. Here's Tania, my Insanity idol:

Oh it's late. 1:30am. Not that sleepy. Must be the waking up late thing. Haha.
Trading lots of clothes recently. Haha. At least I'm not buying... Well, it makes me happy. I haven't spent a thousand on clothes yet hor. Maybe $500? :/ Oh dear. Haha.

So many brand new in bag, still in the plastics, yearning to be worn. Shall wear them when the sem starts!
Sigh. My love for online shopping.

Not for nothing, but the “Insanity” workout seems like it’s only for people that are extremely serious, or have an exercise induced death wish.
“With ‘Hip-Hop Abs’ we dance and have fun and we cut up and we laugh, but in ‘Insanity’ the most that could happen, and often does, is they gag and throw up here and there. But, that’s part of the pain. Me personally, I love it. If somebody has me working out so hard that I’m heaving over a trash can then I love it.”
