Am I glad I slept early last night! At least I don't feel like I am dying now.
Waiting for my assignment for today. Probably more invoicing to be done. 1 project down, 6 to go!
Off to MOM later too. I wanna drive.
No training for the next 3 days. I should really do something on Sunday, or risk feeling sluggish the rest of the week!
Can't wait for Saturday to be over!
Enjoying a nice cup of coffee now. Coffee is so addictive!!!
7/12
Worked from early morning to evening, and only one project worth of invoicing. Just so much to do! Mummy trying to explain to me the difference between RU and TALOS. Ahhh, confusing. So many problems too ):
I can see EDC's jackup from WCEGA!
After the invoicing, we drove down to the showroom. Had the tour and was supposed to critique it. I think they should really work on their language. It's pretty bad. And why do people LOVE to use the word "actually". It's annoying.
Left midway. Weijoe picked me up from the showroom for tim sum dinner and KTV later at night. A rather stress relieving activity. Didn't really feel like going initially, cos I was really tired from training the day before and being rudely woken up in the morning, plus the stress from mummy. However, Claire is leaving Singapore and there aren't going to be many more chances for me to hang out with her after this so... No more Fantastic 4 ):
I totally ruined my diet. Haha. But I guess it's ok. I don't eat like this all the time. And it's a special occassion. Really so sinful. Refined carbs, yucks! Lol.\
KTV was fun. We went to the one at... Hmm. The one above TCC, beside the Thai embassy. We sang stupid songs, and played the tamborine and maracas. That alone was a workout! The boys were really into it la. Crazy people. Finished past midnight, and Weijoe sent me home. I really don't enjoy staying out late. It's so bad! Should really get more sleep. After all, it's the holidays! I won't get much once the semester starts.
8/12
Woke up late, didn't have to go to work since mummy had a meeting at the yard. Went for training slightly later than usual. Was almost half an hour late. Actually, reaching at 2:30pm is just nice. Skip for 20 minutes, shadow for 2 X 5 minutes then just nice 3pm! From Friday onwards, Terence will be taking over from Santi. I actually like Santi. He's cute! I mean his use of English. "Block" becomes "bock". Hehe.
Training was better than Monday's. Monday I felt so crippled due to the pulled muscle. It didn't allow me to roundhouse properly, and I even had to sit out of sparring. I'm getting much better at roundhouses, thanks to Tingyan. Really gotta twist and pivot. Going from "9 o'clock" to "7 o'clock" makes a huge difference. If only it came more naturally! Been working lots on combos recently. Santi's good at this. Terence never really made us do a lot of combo work.
I could only spar with Cindy yesterday. There were only 4 girls. Cindy, Ivy, Kriff and me. They won't allow me to spar with Kriff, since there's a difference of 30kg between us or something? I'd get totally owned. Haha. I remember she gave me a powerful kick to my left thigh quite some time ago which left me bruised for a few weeks. Val and Mel are the only ones in my weight cat, but they don't come for training that often ): Sigh. It's ok, I have to keep forcing myself to think it's good training, though I get so "beaten up", more so mentally than physically (though it's really painful too)! I'm gonna keep whining that I am naturally disadvantaged. Haha.
We did a weigh in after training. I am quite pleased with my weight. 45.5kg after training. Can't believe I was like 42kg beginning of this year la (I hope it's muscle)! Terence is pleased with it too. Not too pleased with the rest. He was quite mean to say that her weight was that of a girl of 170cm. But what he said was true. As fighters, we should really understand our bodies. And there's no use complaining about not being happy with your weight if you're not gonna do something about it. Eat clean, train hard (even outside of training) and you might very well get to where you wanna be. I really don't think it makes sense training so hard and then you go pig out the next day. Diet is important, skipping meals is detrimental! And if you keep going to Starbucks, eating lots of fried food etc... Sigh. What's the point? Ultimately, it's not about the weight. Once we're done with the competition, I am sure many of us will revert to our bad habits. For those who quit the fight team, how many are gonna keep up our exercise regime? Not many. Everyone is obsessing about losing weight :/ It's about keeping healthy laaaaa!
I can no longer describe trainings. Just too much. Haha. Training was really good though. Was comparable to Crossfit yesterday. Couldn't even speak, just no energy to, but had to keep going. Sure feels good to push yourself, so addictive! Feel strong :P
Muscle pull got better, than worse. During clinch training, Cindy swung me and then muscle pulled more, and I was taken down. Landed on my ass, was damn painful. Haha. First time being taken down. Cool!
After training, I skipped dinner with the team so I could meet Jiajuan earlier! Also, I felt like having homecooked food. Just so much cleaner! Haha, yes! My arms expanded! Sorry you couldn't check out my ass, since my bag was blocking it :P
Meet up soon! Like properly. Lots of catching up to do! (: Lunch some time? (:
I wish mummy could give me some work to do now. I am utterly bored. I think she's too busy to assign me work :/

5/12
Down to Crossfit Hub today for another WOD. Including training, it's 6 times this week. I just realised my only rest day was Thursday? Oh wow... Really ramping up the intensity and frequency. Never felt more tired yet so alive. This is good stuff.
WOD 5/12: "Fight Gone Bad"
Air squats
Overhead squats
4-count flutter kicks
Box Jjumps
Weighted sit ups
Medicine ball Burpees
AMRAP 1 minute, 2 minutes break between each set. Total 3 sets.
I started with the weighted sit ups. 10kg. Err... Haha. The numbers kept reducing during the 3 sets. Initially was 20? Then it just dropped to 15. The burpees with the 5kg medicine ball... I was averaging only 10? Not so used to that. Same for the overhead squats. Initially it was a little hard to grasp, wasn't "tearing the bar apart". But in my second set, I got more comfortable with that. Wasn't so good for elbow, but wasn't too bad either. Just a little ache. Hope it'll be fine for training tomorrow. The crosses are gonna be tough, and I will simply die with overextensions when I throw them ):
Oh. And I did my first handstand today! Did I? Ok, nevermind, I don't remember if my phat boy assisted me but still! I overcame that fear of hitting my head against the wall/floor! Next up, pull ups! I will try. It's really understandable how addictive CF is. Haha. Once I stop competitive Muay Thai, it's probably more regular CF for me. I'd like to go with Phat Boy (:
Phat Boy and Phat Girl need to go rock climb some time too! Oh man... So many things I wanna do!
After WOD and lunch at Commonwealth

(BOOHOO, no favourite YTF), went walking around Sheng Siong opposite Commonwealth MRT. Haven't been to a Sheng Siong in awhile, but since when did they have this?! :

Not the butter. The electronic pricing device. Haha. Wa, not bad.
When I got to the showroom, there was more temptation. This time in the form of famous tau sar piah from Balestier. These are really my favourite ones! Had one sweet and one salty one. Can't resist ):

Went down to Arab Street with mum, brother and one of the staff from IN2 to get carpets for the showroom. The opening's on Saturday, so I gotta skip training on Friday under my mum's orders. We spent a lot of time there... But nothing was really happening. I was just sitting there talking to my brother while my mum and the other guy talked to the carpet guy. My brother and I both have sensitive noses and the shop was just killing us. Saw this interesting building with a huge ass Mentos hanging outside.

I think my mum probably realised how we were being tortured so she gave us taxi fare and chased us home. Haha. Oh... But catching a cab was not easy at all. We walked to Raffles Hospital and their taxi stand is close to non-existent! Had to call a cab, waited damn long for it to come! Went to Amma's house first, thinking I might be able to catch the rest of the family before they headed home, but was a little too late. Either that or they left pretty early! Mark got his new iPhone 4 already! I also want! I should be getting mine mid Jan! My brother is the ultimate critic of iPhones. Haha. Meanwhile, Mark and I are Apple fans. I really love my MBP!!! I used to be anti-Apple though. That was when I had my iPod Mini, and it died on me at least thrice! I got too sick and tired of bringing it in for repair and bought a Samsung YP-K3 instead. It's really a not too bad MP3. Touch pad, nice lights, slim, looks like iPod Nano. Then I lost my cable and I gave up on that too. What am I gonna do with my iTouch once I get my iPhone?! The new generation iTouch even has a camera la. Who wants to buy my old iTouch. Plus it's 64GB :/ Why do I even have a 64GB iTouch, I will never understand. I bet I don't even have 2GB worth of songs in it. I'm just so lazy to rip songs/download them!
Dinner:

Another good serving of chicken. Indian chicken soup. Haha. Really good for colds. Used to drink it when I got sick, just very soothing. Chicken soup for the soul?
Had fruits, since there weren't any vegetables left other than long beans. I don't like long beans. I will not eat long beans from outside, and if they are cooked at home, they must be sliced really thin, or they make squeaky sounds as I chew them! Makes chills run down my spine and I just cringe!!! Ok, maybe I'm weird. But I only like long beans when they are really soft/thinly sliced ok...
I need to wake up early tomorrow ): It's gonna be tomorrow already leh. SIGH. Need to drive down to Mazda Service Centre. Will be first time driving alone. Hope I don't crash! HAHA. Ok, time to sleep. My ass really hurts. I definitely pulled something la. Can't even sit down now cos my ass hurts!!! How the hell am I gonna train tomorrow, I do not know ):

4/12
Feeling a little down today. Well, we all have days like these I guess. Maybe something's bothering me that even I don't know of!
Thought I'd go for for a quick workout to make me feel more alive.
15min run + 8 X 20s/10s sprints
Definitely feel more energetic now, but the battered feeling still lingers. So uncomfortable.
Food journal 4/12
Breakfast:
Oatmeal + banana + peanut butter
Lunch:

Scrambled egg with toast and cheese
Dinner:

More soup. Just so cold these few days!!
I feel like heading down to the Botanic Gardens again soon in the day, and sit along the Singapore River in the middle of the night. Something rather soothing about it...

Missing
Sigh. I miss Raj ): Seems like just yesterday we bitched about Wilson Tang and he protected me from the safety officer ): He really cared for me, made sure I had food. Both of us would eat oats and yogurt together ): He'd cover up for me too. So thankful for him, but... Sigh. I feel sad. Maybe I still can't accept that he's gone. It's still painful.
If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.

Training again. Injury again. First my toe, now my elbow. Fortunately I can move it much more than a few hours ago. Indeed, the perils of Muay Thai.
Tears make me look weak. But how do I hide them when it hurts so f-ing badly to get punched in the face? Sigh. The bloody head guards at Hilltop are too big for me. Everyone else's head is bigger, so the head guard is more secure, giving much more protection. My guard is completely open to them. They just need to give me an uppercut and that's it, there goes my jaw... Got a cut inside my mouth. Man... I need a break from training. Bruised and battered is not fun when in excess.
Our warm up today was another run to Esplanade and back. It was 1pm. Freaking hot! Should've worn singlet today... Painful to run under the hot sun, just so draining.
Anyway, today, Peiyi and I met up with Bruno and his girlfriend for dinner at Central. Ate Japanese food at Watami. I had my omelette as my main dish, no rice no noodles... At least Bruno didn't ask me why I have a weird diet... Probably because Peiyi and I shared dessert. Was damn tired after training, and hungry. But had to wait from 430pm to 7pm without food. Luckily there was Meiji milk to save the day.
Was nice catching up with the gay magnet, and confessing my lesbian tendencies. Haha. That model has hot legs that I will never get over!
Wei Ming seems surprised that we don't club and all. Like what's so nice about it?! Noisy, crowded... I like my personal space. I rather be home sleeping. It's also a waste of money. I rather go buy more clothes lor. He said we're like 40 year olds. Haha. I don't do clubs. I'm too good for that :D
Walked around Clarke Quay. So much less exciting than we thought it might be on a Friday night. Hooters. LOL! One of the ladies were wearing Bubblegummers shoes la! Yeah, damn hot :/ The Turkish ice cream man was the highlight of the walk. Interesting guy! (: I want pistachio ice cream toooooo!
Shall sleep in tomorrow. In the afternoon might go down to the showroom again to help my mum put up the Christmas tree decorations. I hope my elbow will be fine by then... Should be fine. But certain angles ah... Sigh!
So moody ): Ultimate emo song: Don't Let Me Go. The song was written by Ethan Mentzer. I don't care what you people think about The Click Five, but this is a well written song ok!

2/12
I am a good daughter. I love my mummy very much. I have all the respect in the world for her, all the love. But sometimes, she really kills me!!!! I hate it when she drags me to work, claiming there's a ton of work to be done, makes me wake up early and when I reach the office, there is NOTHING for me to do! I would much rather be on my bed... I don't mind helping, I really don't. I was the one who called her up last night before I turned in to ask if she needed my help, and she said she did. In fact, she said she really really needs my help desperately because there are a ton of things to be done before the grand opening of the showroom on the 11th. Sigh... Then she had to go and starve me. I ended up eating digestive biscuits at WCEGA and goreng pisang at the showroom :/ Feel so shitty. I usually eat quite a few small meals throughout the day, but today... It just wasn't possible, and I feel so grumpy frumpy (yes dear, grumpy frumpy) just sitting around doing nothing. Internet connection was super slow, aircon was way too cold, was starving, felt like working out... Not a very pleasant day.
I thought we were going home at about 7:30pm. But mummy drove us to Tekka Mall to get yet more Christmas tree ornaments for the 10 foot tall tree in the showroom. True, the tree is pretty ugly... It's just a lump of gold (she loves golden trees). I personally prefer a tree with a mixture of colours. I don't mean blue and pink. I think the best combination is gold and red/bronze. She got some bronze ornaments that are pretty nice. Why do I get the feeling I will be at the showroom on Saturday putting up the tree? Hmm.
This Saturday... I don't know. Is there MT camp meeting/medical. I've sent in my fight weight. I shall stay in light fly. Will probably still be my 45-46kg by the time of the competition. Not into losing weight. I can't imagine how just one year ago, my weight was between 41-43kg. So bloody light...
My MT shorts are still stiff. Shall continue washing them till they soften up and probably get some tights too. Yup! How do they look?

Bought one in black and one in white. Easy to match with whatever top. We are currently designing an event t-shirt and a fight team singlet. I told them I'd try to design one... See how. I want a dragon. I think a dragon is a must have!
The shorts from Thailand are like... 2/3 the price of those found in Singapore. Those in Liang Seng were quite expensive, I remember. As I was in a rush to get my gloves (I didn't enjoy using the school's shared ones, so smelly), I cancelled my order from King (Thailand) and bought a King pair at Golden Mile for $85. I could've gotten it at less than $60 from Thailand? Maybe I should have waited. Since I am forking out all the cash for MT by myself, not to mention the rest of the uni expenditure other than school fees. Haha. I should really stop buying clothes ): BUT BUT... Today, I finally got to wear my AE Warehouse inspired top in nude. Here's a pic:

I think the colour looks good on me. Haha. And the lace trim along the neckline is really nice too! Love the tie-back, cos it accentuates the waist, giving an hour glass figure to almost anyone! It's more dressy compared to my usual tank + shorts, yet it's still cooling since it's sleeveless. I LIKE IT! I am glad I didn't trade it away. Another keeper :P
Food journal 2/12
Breakfast:
1/2 bowl oatmeal with peanut butter and cinnamon
Small cup milk + muesli
Lunch:
YTF. Ok, I am not getting tofu!!!

She keeps giving me free stuff. Haha. I found a fishball this time. Sad, since I don't like fishballs!
Dinner:

Long awaited dinner. Was starving by the time I got home at about 9:30pm.
Aunty put barley and wolfberries into the soup today. Ok la... Not too bad. It was nice and spicy, good on a cold night! Chicken breast, brocolli, cabbage, carrots, tomato... Seriously, I could eat this day after day!
Snacked on goreng pisang and digestive biscuits, not that many though... Like 3 each? HA! And ZZ just had to buy me ice lemon tea from the canteen :/ Couldn't say no. I don't like these drinks!!!!
Sipped on green tea the whole day too to keep the hunger pangs at bay.
Ok, it's training once again tomorrow. Seems like my whole life is Muay Thai now. Haha! I can feel the strain from the long hours of training. I have been walking around with a slight limp today thanks to my toe being sprained or something. Hope the swelling goes down soon. If not I roundhouse wrongly again I will just die! I was already shouting all sorts of obscenities when it happened on Wednesday.
I think Peiyi and I are having dinner with Wei Ming tomorrow. So odd la. Just Bruno. Ivan doesn't wanna come cos it's so few people. He said January. Ok, he organise. Haha.
I need some rest. I think my food has gone down already. Should head to bed.

29/11 - 1/12
29/11
Train, train, train! Only 2 girls at training, so only one sparring partner. Van... She needs to be more aggressive. I kept telling her to hit me harder, lol. Once again, had good bag work training. 20 minutes of skipping as warm up. As usual, ended with 100 push ups and sit ups. I realise people cheat on this. I try not to. Haha. My roundhouses are slowly getting better with Tingyan's help. I think Fight G probably taught them better at it.
Headed down to the showroom after training, as mum said that she needed help. The only help I could render was wiping the windows at around midnight when they went out to do the facade shot. As it was raining in the evening, and drizzling late into the night, the windows kept fogging and we had to keep wiping like mad people. Late night workout. Haha.

The photoshoot ended close to 1am. My mum went to get the famous chicken wings and zhu pa from one of the Commonwealth coffee shops. Prawn paste chicken wings and zhu pa with butter or something. Damn gross. I tried. And was disgusted! How is that famous man?! She got some other stuff too... Too deep fried for my liking. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying though!

I sat in a corner and drank fresh milk, much to the amusement of Michael. Michael is the marketing guy my mum hired. The firm he is from is one of only a handful of marketing firms who are over 25 years old. He is 53, with salt and pepper hair, yet he is so hip and cool! Haha. He hangs with the young people. My mum told him that I am doing Muay Thai now, and he was so impressed. He looks much younger than his 53 years, probably much to do with him exercising thrice a week.
He says he will help me when I open my business :P Haha. He even knows Tracyeinny.com.sg! (:
Anyway, got home damn late. Sian.

Woke up at noon. 10 hours of sleep. Much needed :P
Did nothing much... Collected some mail from the PO. Then headed to Amma's house to bake something for Cindy as a belated birthday present!

Flour, melted butter, sugar (2 tbsp), baking powder, green tea powder. Fold in, not beat. Add in chocolate chips.

From all those years watching my mum bake (and eating the cookie dough, licking the bowl etc), I have learned the art of dusting flour so that the muffins won't stick to the pan.

And they are done! Super low sugar content. Don't want her complaining that I have a diabolical plan to make her get fat before competition.
While on the topic of the competition, it doesn't make much sense for me to keep at the 45-48kg weight category if I can lose another 1-2kg and be in Pin. BUT, NO. I shall not. I will not. I refuse! Anyway, how many people out there are as light as me? Minus the water weight, and with healthy bowel movements, I am 44.9kg? Haha. That is so light. They will probably combine the 2 weight cats together, so I will end up in the middle of it. What's the difference fighting someone heavier anyway? I keep training with 55kg people, since Val is the only one in my weight cat and she seldom comes for training.

It's December. Time is flying!
Once again, my entire day's for Muay Thai. Muay Thai Camp meeting and training at Hilltop. Right now, we've sort of settled what activities we're gonna include. I am pushing for rock climbing! Haha. I can get Ben or Ron to ask if the Climb team is willing to give us a crash course. If not climbing, then it's probably handball, volleyball, basketball... Typical stuff that can be played in the sports hall I guess. Fort Canning run... Ok la. A good balance of training and games, OTOT-HTHT (:
It's going to be held on either 26-27 Dec, 29-30 Dec or 30-31 Dec. I will be having another camp 28-29 Dec for my OCSP. So lame :/ Let me go to Fei Yue then let me go home la!!! I need to rest for Muay Thai camp man... Sigh.
Wasn't a very good first meeting with those running for exco. Everyone was late. Ivy, Cindy and I were the earliest since we met at Woodlands first. I think everyone was just hungover from The Fling. 3 of them took part in the shots game... I just will never understand what's up with people and alcohol :/ So bad for you.
Our warm up was a 30 minute run from Hilltop to Esplanade and back. Under the hot sun. I did not enjoy it one bit. I am not someone who enjoys working out in the afternoon. The sun is draining. Probably the reason why my punches were so... weak ):
I didn't feel like training half the time, my mind wasn't so clear. Didn't know how I was gonna spar. But I did, eventually. 3 round with Ivy, Van and Cindy. They are all in the same weight cat. I am "disadvantaged", yet I know training with them is sort of to my advantage. Adrenaline kicked in, I think I did well. Other than the toe sprain (which is bruised and swelling now), nearly getting my contacts knocked out, shin bruised and swelling, feet bleeding, and that one uppercut that knocked my head backwards so badly, I am all good! (:
Ok, I am gonna sleep really soon. I just cannot take it! I need to rest rest rest!
